Mission Critical

Making a difference in mission operations in the U.S. and abroad. Whether using to aid in finding IEDS, monitoring terrain, or force protection postures around base camps, the Maxa Beam Searchlight will be of great importance in crew and soldier safety.

Long-Range Searchlights for Military, Defense & Law Enforcement

Peak Beam Systems, Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of high-intensity illumination devices for military and security applications. Peak Beam’s flagship product, the Maxa Beam Searchlight, has been tested and fielded by U.S. military and federal agencies for over thirty years and continues to be the most powerful handheld searchlight available in the world.

The Maxa Beam’s long-range and intensely focused Xenon beam make the searchlight an invaluable tool for a range of escalation of force, security and surveillance applications.

Maxa Beam Searchlights are currently deployed by all branches of the U.S. military. Domestic users include U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Internationally, Maxa Beam
Searchlights are used by government and law enforcement customers in over sixty-five countries around the world.

Non-Lethal Weapon Escalation of Force

The Maxa Beam is used to detect, deter, and disrupt
at long ranges. The searchlight’s powerful output and strobe
immediately disorient and impair a target’s vision, giving the operator time to determine intent, change the target’s behavior and minimize the use of lethal force.

The Escalation of Force (EOF) Maxa Beam Package is designed for continuous round-the-clock use in demanding environments. The EOF kit features a 12,000,000 CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight, two LiFePO4 batteries, a full lamp/lens maintenance kit, IR and amber filters, and a wheeled storage case.

Search & Rescue

The Maxa Beam’s long range, easily adjustable beam width and long battery run time make the searchlight an invaluable tool for SAR operations.

The Search and Rescue Maxa Beam Package is tailored to meet the needs of SAR and Emergency Response Personnel. The 12,000,000 CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight offers 3500m of focusable, high intensity illumination as well as strobe and beacon modes for high visibility from the air. Each rechargeable LiFePO4 battery will power the searchlight for up to 150 minutes on low beam and recharges in just 100 minutes.

The included Amber Filter turns the beam yellow which reduces glare as the light bounces off particles in the air. This filter is ideal for operations where the light will be used in fog, smoke, or dust conditions.

Perimeter& Border Security

Remote-Controlled Maxa Beams are often integrated into computer-controlled sensor and camera systems to provide long range visible and infrared illumination.

Optimized for integration onto surveillance, security, and weapons systems and often used with cameras and sensors to provide long range visible and infrared illumination.

Mounted searchlights can be computer-controlled and are well suited for permanent installation in harsh environments.

Designed for permanent installation in harsh weather conditions, MBPKG-E Series Searchlights are housed in a marine-grade alodined and powder-coated aluminum enclosure with an internal cooling system for optimum performance in extreme temperatures.  MBPKG-E Series Searchlights feature 12,000,000 CandlePower output and a 3,500 meter range and can be controlled using either wired switches or an RS-232 serial interface.

Covert (Infrared) Surveillance

When used with an IR filter, the Maxa Beam provides illumination that is invisible to the naked eye. IR illumination enhances the clarity and range of Night Vision devices and is especially useful for filling in shadows or shining through the window of a dark building.

Choose from three longpass filter options that block light energy below 715nm, 850nm, and 920nm. The 850nm Filter is typically the best filter choice for most applications because it offers a good balance of range and covertness.

Each filter attaches to the searchlight using a positive locking technique that requires no threading or tools, making it easy to install or remove a filter in seconds with only a quarter turn.

Shipboard Protection

The Maxa Beam detects and identifies vessels at long ranges. The searchlight is frequently paired with acoustic hailing devices to deter targets and create increased standoff and safety zones.

The Maxa Beam Force Protection Package is designed for maritime security aboard U.S. Navy vessels and features a 12,000,000 CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight with visible and infrared capability.  The Force Protection Package also includes three LiFePO4 batteries, two AC/DC chargers, a full searchlight maintenance kit, and IR and amber filters.

Picatinny Rail-Mounted Searchlights

Rail-Mounted Searchlights can withstand the shock and recoil of a .50 caliber machine gun and are well suited for Remote Weapons Stations and other high-stress environments. All searchlight features including
strobe and beam width are remote-controlled.

Rail-Mounted Searchlights feature 12,000,000 CandlePower output and a 3,500 meter range. Searchlights can be controlled using either wired switches or an RS-232 serial interface.

Non-Lethal effects are scalable and can be adapted to a variety of escalation of force applications including border security, vehicle checkpoints, harbor security, shipboard protection, crowd control, and perimeter surveillance.

7.5AH LiFePO4 Battery

Maxa Beam Searchlights are powered with rechargeable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries that feature a 115 minute run time and more than 2000 life cycles.

Updating an old searchlight system? LiFePO4 Batteries are compatible with all Maxa Beam Searchlights and offer significant benefits over legacy NiCad, NiMH, and Li-Ion chemistries. Note that a LiFePO4 charger and power cord must also be purchased with the LiFePO4 battery. Older chargers and cords are not compatible.
