MaxaVision, through SFC Energy, offers a variety of highly durable fuel cells to meet the specific requirements needed for military, security forces, and security and public applications. Tested according to MIL-STD, the fuel cells perform in the harshest conditions delivering 100% reliable power.
A reliable power supply is one of the major technical challenges for modern task forces. SFC’s fuel cells for military and law enforcement applications have significant advantages. An essential factor is the quiet operation, virtually without any detectable signatures. In addition, the fuel cells are very user friendly and safe to handle. They are simple plug-and-play solutions. The fuel cells charge existing batteries completely automatically. The system automatically starts and returns to standby mode when the battery is charged. This means not only will the user always have full power reserves, but the user’s batteries will also last much longer because continuous charging prevents deep discharge.
From on-board power supply to a field-based charging station, the EMILY DMFC fuel cell reliably covers all necessary applications in military operations.
The SFC EMILY Fuel Cell takes care of the on-board power supply of a stationary vehicle when the engine is not running. It is directly connected to the on-board battery for this purpose. Electrical peak loads are compensated directly by the battery, while the SFC EMILY continuously monitors this and, if necessary, recharges independently.
In addition to the applications in and on vehicles, which are increasingly in demand, the SFC EMILY is used to supply power for mobile and stationary defence applications. It is suitable for remote use and as a battery charger in the field. The SFC EMILY can be directly connected to the Power Manager 3G with an accessory cable. Once deployed away from the vehicle, the system can power applications such as communication devices, sensor systems, or other electronic equipment, and simultaneously recharge multiple batteries. The SFC EMILY 3000 has an extremely low consumption of not even 100 ml per hour and provides 3.0 kWh of electricity per day. The weight is only 12.5 kg.

Portable fuel cells for remote use – Our lightest DMFC fuel cells provide real power.
The portable DMFC fuel cell systems JENNY 600S and JENNY 1200, weighing only 1.7 kg and 3.3 kg respectively, are easy to carry in a backpack and supply 600 Wh or 1200 Wh of electrical energy per day. Just a few fuel cartridges provide sufficient capacity for several days of operation. This enables savings of up to 80% in battery weight and volume. As a result, soldiers can operate with a minimal number of batteries and carry additional food, water, and ammunition, or extend mission duration.

The SFC Power Manager 3G enables the soldier to use all energy sources available in the field such as hybrid batteries, solar panels, vehicle power and fuel cells to power devices or charge batteries. Thanks to intelligent cable coding, the SFC Power Manager 3G automatically detects the connected devices and adjusts the output voltage correspondingly. This results in very low power losses and an extremely efficient power distribution.

SFC Fuel Cells are operated with either methanol or hydrogen as fuel. The methanol is stored in SFC fuel cartridges that have been designed specifically for this purpose. According to demand, SFC fuel cartridges are available in capacities of 0.35, 5, 10, 28 and 60 litres. The maximum operating time of the fuel cell can only be guaranteed when using original SFC fuel cartridges. SFC fuel cartridges offer a lot of energy in a small space thanks to the high energy density of methanol. As a result, the length of the autonomous operation of your off-grid applications can be increased many times.
